Rainbows - Summer 2025 - Ahoy there!

Pirate Training Day

Ahoy me hearties! We had a swashbuckling adventure on Pirate Training Day. Rainbows came dressed as pirates and it began with learning how to talk like a pirate, we all practiced our best "Arrrr!" and "Ahoy there!". After that, it was time to follow the treasure map. Our young adventurers worked together, solving clues and navigating the ‘high seas’ to find hidden treasure. Next up: a pirate portrait! Each pirate took a turn drawing their very own pirate self-portrait, complete with hats, parrots and eye patches. There were some fantastic masterpieces created, showcasing the budding artists in our class. Later we worked in pairs to fill our pirate chest with ‘gold coins’ —just like real pirates! From treasure hunts to songs, teamwork to creativity, it was a day full of excitement and learning.

Rainbows will be setting sail on an adventure across and under the sea this summer. Our theme includes learning about pirates and creatures that live in the oceans.
